Jana R. Barnett, Esq
(610) 478-1860

Attorney Jana R. Barnett regularly represents clients in employment disputes.

Pennsylvania is an “employment at will” state.  In general, people can be fired at any time, for any reason: good reason, bad reason, and no reason.  For better or worse, the law does not require employers to be fair to their employees, or to make good business decisions.  Nor does the law require employers to provide employees with such benefits as vacation pay, sick pay or severance.

Despite the fact that Pennsylvania is an “employment at will” state, there are many matters with which Attorney Jana Barnett can help clients.  Discrimination (including harassment and retaliation), unemployment compensation claims, wage and overtime claims, inspection of personnel records, employment agreements, severance agreements, and noncompetition agreements are some of the employment matters which Jana Barnett handles for employees and employers alike.
